Night Cathedral - Creative Showcase in the Heart of Chichester

By KieraSmitheramBlogs 01 Feb 2019

Chichester's innovative night of culture returns with an array of local and student talent.

Chichester Cathedral will be hosting a fantastic night of art and culture on the 12th February at Night Cathedral. This free-for-students event is transforming the cathedral into a hub of song, dance, and creativity, with activities for everyone running throughout the evening.

There will be appearences from the UoC Chamber Choir, 3Fall Dance Company, Mapdance, as well as poetry readings and ensemble performances in different areas of the cathedral. There will be banner making, a sculpture performance and a trail round the cathedral as well!

The university is incredibly proud of its artistic ties to the cathedral, which has graciosuly hosted galas, operas, and graduation ceremonies for many years. Leonard Bernstein's legendary 'Chichester Pslams' was written especially for the Chichester Cathedral Choir. If you are not a regular visitor of the cathedral, come and see this amazing and historic location in a new, fun,and informal light.

Doors open at 7.30pm, no need to book! Free tickets for non-univeristy students, friends, and family can be booked via the University Chaplain up to the day of the event.
